Awakening from a coma, Trim Tab Jim is on a mission to fulfil a promise he made to the Angel of Death. If only he could remember what it was... A mysterious psychiatrist takes a keen interest in his recuperation... Before long, Trim Tab has become the leader of a non-violent revolution without uttering a single word. But all is not as it seems - indeed, reality itself may not be as it seems...

Trim Tab Jim are a Brighton-based band whose live shows take the form of mind-bending political sci-fi musical theatre.

We debuted our first show THE REINCARNATION OF TRIM TAB JIM at the Brighton Fringe in 2015. It sold out and was critically acclaimed (see below for links to reviews).

Now, in 2018 we are back at the Brighton Fringe with THE MANIFESTATION OF TRIM TAB JIM, the second instalment in the Trim Tab Trilogy. *

We are performing five dates throughout the Brighton Festival in the gorgeous 11th century St. Nicholas' church (a 2 minute walk from the clock tower).

BOOK NOW to catch this mind-bending, reality-unravelling, genre-defying show before it sells out!

    * Although this show picks up where the first left off, it works as a standalone piece so don't worry if you didn’t catch part one...

“Outstanding work last night. My wife and I are still elated. Thank you so much – your work is providing a great service to society.” − Charlie

"This play made me realise I could do something instead of
just seething! It really is excellent. I feel I've

seen the light - Thank you!”
    − Lyn

"Well delivered, thought provoking show accompanied
    with excellent music" −
     Mike

"This show is great. The acting, singing and music
are excellent... my wife and I have talked
    about it ever since."
    − Neil

“Really not what I was expecting. Not quite a gig although the band and singer were very good. More a political manifesto with good songs and in the setting an almost religious experience.” − David

“Well delivered, thought provoking show accompanied with excellent music.” − Rory

"Genius and deranged in equal measures" − Pendle

“It is sometimes that magic dust falls off the stage and touches the ones in the dark. It opens up a whole new set of perspectives, awakens those forgotten dreams. As the artists in the show point out - 'I am a human, damn it’! Wonderfully executed, in a grandiose unique setting. The performance held my attention from the moment one. The music is superb, the questions raised so poignant and relevant to the modern living of today yet centuries old. It reminded me why I am attracted to art in the first place. Not to be missed!” − Julija

“A good performance - good singer and fine musicians. The choir were very good too. Very thought provoking, made you think what you would do in God's waiting room!" − Beverley

“It was the best dissection of the pertinent issues of our future time I couldn’t have imagined. The facilitation of paradigm shifts through passion, intellect and talent was profound. Outstanding work!” − James

“I normally work on the basis that if you can't say something nice say nothing, so I'll just leave my critique to say, nay plead... Please do not invest any of your own hard-earned cash into this venture. This was billed as a ground-breaking, critically acclaimed show... well I and my wife could not relate to this as being any part of Show Business.” − PJ

“A thoroughly humorous, dramatic and righteous experience. How our protagonist, Jim, managed to convey such a convincing argument against our failing attitudes towards drugs during one of the many catchy, powerful songs was a stroke of genius. Jim's transition from pathos to heroism was a delight to behold, but the acting, singing, the excellent band and choir made the whole show thoroughly memorable (a special mention must be given to Adam Onyett for his keyboard, guitar and vocal work; obviously a major talent) and left the audience with many issues to discuss on the way home as well as delivering an inspiring message that we can all make a difference. Excellent.” − Andy
